Behind the scenesPeople, craft and serious technology — working quietly around the music.
Inside the production
This is a broadcast, not a camera at the back.
We build a television-style production around the performance, with the technology and crew working quietly around the music.
Broadcast soundProfessional capture and a dedicated mix that preserves the character of the performance.
Lighting and finishingPurposeful lighting, careful editing, colour and mastering for a film with a lasting life.
Music in its natural habitat
From festival fields to full stages.
Every room has a character. We preserve the atmosphere as carefully as the performance.
LiveOn locationOn demand
A digital stage for exceptional artists
More than a livestream.
We bring the care of a television production together with the reach of an on-demand platform. The result is a performance your existing audience can return to, plus a way for new listeners to discover what you do.
A genuine creative partnership
Half for the performance. Half for the production that makes it last.
After payment processing, platform costs and PRS are deducted, income from one-off show sales is split equally between the artist and Folkscape.
This is not a platform uploading somebody else’s finished video. We bring the production craft, technology and ongoing work needed to turn a live performance into a film people will pay to watch.
The artist
For the performance, the musicianship, the audience relationship and the rights that make the release possible.
Folkscape
For TV-level picture and sound, direction, crew, capture, editing, mastering, secure delivery, reporting and keeping the show available.
50% of subscription income goes to artists.Across each calendar year, half of all subscription income after costs is allocated to artist rights buyouts. Those allocations are recorded transparently and disbursed through each artist’s Folkscape account.
